Kanye West’s brand Yeezy is already a billion-dollar worth fashion empire and it’s only growing. The rapper has announced he’s working on future clothing line together with Gap.
The first Yeezy Gap line is to launch in 2021 and is said to incorporate “futuristic designs for women, men and kids at affordable prices”, designed by Yeezy studio under Kanye’s creative eye.
“It is exciting for us to work with Kanye again. We’re looking forward to work with his creative genius and visionary and develop his brand. This way we believe we’ll achieve next level of our partnership,” commented the head of Gap, Mark Breitbard.
Not many details are revealed to the public, but allegedly the deal between Gap and Kanye is set to last for 10 years. West will earn equity and sales’ royalties.
Although this deal sounds like a big one, West’s another, highly lucrative deal is the one with Adidas – just by owning the Yeezy brand he’s net worth jumped to $1.3 billion.
